A salt-flat school with a record of firsts.
Beimen Junior High was founded in 1968 under its first principal, Yang Jin-fu, initially borrowing classrooms from Beimen Elementary School for its first half-year. In 1974 it became the first junior high in the former Tainan County to run a student lunch program. Its band and choir programs, established in 1981–82, both went on to win county-level championships, and its student activity center was completed in 1987.
