The oldest county junior high in Penghu.
Baisha Junior High was established on May 22, 1946, making it the first secondary school founded in Baisha Township and the oldest county-run junior high in all of Penghu. Its early years were turbulent: the school was briefly merged into the provincial Magong Middle School in 1949 before being reinstated as an independent local school in 1950, then reorganized again and formally renamed Baisha Junior High in 1968. The campus was rebuilt on a new site in 1971, and the school celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2026.
白沙國中創立於民國35年（1946年）5月22日，是白沙鄉第一所中等學校，也是澎湖歷史最悠久的縣立國中。建校初期歷經波折：民國38年（1949年）曾一度併入省立馬公中學，民國39年（1950年）恢復為地方獨立學校，其後再度改制，於民國57年（1968年）正式定名為白沙國民中學。民國60年（1971年）遷至新校地重建，並將於2026年歡慶建校80週年。
