National Baihe Senior Commercial & Industrial Vocational High School

Baihe Vocational High School traces its roots to 1927, when it opened in Liuying as "Liuying Agricultural Supplementary School." It moved to Xinying in 1930 as "Xinying Agricultural Supplementary School," became "Xinying Agricultural Vocational School" in 1945, and relocated to Baihe in August 1946. Further reorganizations followed — an agricultural school in 1959, "Tainan County Xinying Commercial Vocational School" in 1962, "Taiwan Provincial Baihe Commercial Vocational School" in 1968 — before it took the name "Taiwan Provincial Baihe Senior Commercial Vocational School" in 1970. Engineering programs were added in 1971, giving the school its "Commercial & Industrial" (商工) identity, and it became a national school in February 2000. It remains the only senior-level vocational school serving the Baihe area.

白河商工前身可追溯至民國16年（1927年）於柳營設立的「柳營農業補習學校」；民國19年（1930年）遷至新營，更名「新營農業補習學校」；民國34年（1945年）改為「新營農業職業學校」；民國35年（1946年）8月遷至白河。其後歷經多次改制：民國48年（1959年）改為農業學校、民國51年（1962年）改名「臺南縣新營商業職業學校」、民國57年（1968年）改名「臺灣省立白河商業職業學校」，民國59年（1970年）定名「臺灣省立白河高級商業職業學校」；民國60年（1971年）增設工科，成為今日「商工」之名；民國89年（2000年）2月改制國立。至今仍是白河地區唯一的高級職業學校。
