Its name combines "安" from the old place name "Anxi Liao" and "興" from the Xingli neighborhood, tying the school directly to the local geography it now sits within — Zhubei's High Speed Rail commercial district. The campus design references its surroundings, backed by Litou Mountain and flanked by two irrigation canals, and incorporates a five-color pitta bird motif tied to Hsinchu County's official county bird.
