Anping Junior High School

Anping Junior High became formally independent in December 1968, having previously operated as a branch campus of Jincheng Junior High School. At founding, the campus was hemmed in by fish ponds on three sides and the Tainan Canal to the north, so the government built a hand-cranked drawbridge so students could reach the school. Today the school enrolls approximately 1,175 students across 43 classes, with 76 teachers and 10 staff, and insists on its full official name on campus signage to avoid confusion with an unrelated insurance company that sounds similar in Chinese.

安平國中於1968年（民國57年）12月正式獨立設校，此前曾為金城國中的分校。創校之初，校地三面環繞魚塭、北臨臺南運河，政府特別建造一座手搖式吊橋供學生通行上學。目前全校約有1,175名學生、43個班級，教師76人、職員10人。由於校名簡稱易被誤讀為與保險公司同音，校方在校園標示上堅持使用完整校名。
