Anding Elementary School dates to 1906, when it began as a branch teaching site of Wanli (Shanhua) Public School — the same parent institution as today's Shanhua Elementary School. It became independent as “Zhijianong Public School” in 1918, and was renamed Tainan City Anding District Anding Elementary School after the December 2010 county-city merger. Its attendance zone covers five Anding villages: Anding, Anjia, Suchuo, Sulin, and Gangwei. The school completed two new buildings, the “Innovation Building” and “Vitality Building,” in December 2011, and fields tennis, table-tennis, and track-and-field teams.
安定國小創校可追溯至明治39年（1906年），最初是灣裡（善化）公學校的分教場——與今日的善化國小同源。大正7年（1918年）獨立設校為「直加弄公學校」，民國99年（2010年）12月臺南縣市合併後，改名為「臺南市安定區安定國民小學」。學區涵蓋安定、安加、蘇厝、西寮、港尾等五個里。學校於民國100年（2011年）12月完成「創新樓」與「活力樓」兩棟新建校舍，並設有網球、桌球、田徑等運動代表隊。
