A link in a chain of growing schools.
Aiqun Elementary School was established in 1957, splitting off from Shijia Elementary School when district boundaries were redrawn, under its first principal, Lu Baochen. Its founding reflects Cianjhen's first major wave of postwar population growth. Aiqun's own later overcrowding — alongside neighboring Wuquan and Lequn Elementary — helped prompt the founding of Guanghua Elementary School in 1970.
