🌻 Liujiao Township

Liujiao Township occupies the agricultural heart of Chiayi County's coastal plain, where flat, fertile land supports a rich mosaic of crops. The township is best known for two things: its spectacular winter sunflower fields, and its garlic production. Each December through February, farmers plant sunflowers between rice harvest and spring planting season, transforming the landscape into a sea of golden yellow. The Liujiao Sunflower Festival draws visitors from across Taiwan to walk through fields of towering, sun-facing blooms.

Liujiao's garlic is celebrated across Taiwan for its pungent aroma and concentrated flavor — the result of the coastal plain's mineral-rich soil and ideal growing conditions. The Shuangxi area of Liujiao is synonymous with premium garlic production. The township also preserves remains of the Taiwan Sugar Corporation railway, including the Shuangxi Sugar Factory, whose grounds have been converted into a family recreation park with vintage train rides.

六腳鄉位於嘉義縣沿海平原的農業腹地，平坦肥沃的土地養育了多樣豐富的作物。本鄉最著名的是冬季向日葵花田與蒜頭種植。每年十二月至二月，農民在稻米收割後、春耕前的空窗期種植向日葵，將廣袤大地染成金黃色海洋。六腳向日葵節吸引全台遊客徜徉在高聳的向陽花叢中。

六腳的蒜頭以濃郁的香氣和集中的風味聞名全台，這得益於海岸平原富含礦物質的土壤與絕佳的種植條件。蒜頭糖廠舊址已改建為家庭休閒公園，提供懷舊小火車搭乘服務。
